GEO Hosts Information Session on Student Internship Abroad Program with Dreamark TW

The Global Engagements Office (GEO) of the University of the Cordilleras conducted an Information Session on the Student Internship Abroad Program (SIAP) in partnership with Dreamark TW, a Taiwan-based agency specializing in international internship placements. The session was attended by around 55 graduating students from the College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA) and the College of Information Technology and Computer Science (CITCS), providing them with insights into internship opportunities in Taiwan and the benefits of gaining professional experience abroad.

Dr. Christian T. Pascual, GEO Director, opened the session with remarks on the importance of global exposure in preparing students for international careers. Mr. Samson Liu, CEO of Dreamark TW, presented the organization’s background, its partner industries, and the comprehensive support offered to interns. An engaging open forum followed, where students asked questions regarding placements, benefits, and the application process.

The activity offered UC students valuable information on international internship opportunities while strengthening UC’s partnership with Dreamark TW, paving the way for future collaborations in global experiential learning.

This initiative contributes to several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 4: Quality Education, by promoting inclusive access to international learning experiences; SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, by developing globally competitive skills and employability; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by fostering international collaboration between UC and Dreamark TW to expand global internship opportunities.
