The University of the Cordilleras (UC) proudly participated in the European Higher Education Fair (EHEF) 2024, organized by the Delegation of the European Union to the Philippines together with the embassies of EU Member States. The fair was held onsite at Robinsons Galleria, Ortigas on November 22–23, 2024, followed by an online session on November 25, 2024 via Zoom.
The annual EHEF serves as a premier platform for promoting access to quality higher education in Europe and fostering collaboration between European and Philippine universities. This year’s fair featured participation from Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Spain, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Hungary, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Finland, and Sweden—offering prospective students and educators valuable insights into academic and research opportunities across the European Union.
UC sent a representative to the event to strengthen the university’s international connections and explore potential collaborations with European institutions. The sessions covered topics on higher education systems, student life in the EU, and research grants and scholarship opportunities, including Erasmus+, Horizon Europe, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, and Jean Monnet Programs.
By joining EHEF 2024, UC continues to advance its internationalization efforts and open global pathways for its students and faculty, reaffirming its role as a proactive institution in global academic engagement.
UC’s participation in EHEF 2024 supports SDG 4: Quality Education, by promoting access to international academic opportunities; SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, by expanding awareness of global learning options across regions; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by strengthening cooperation between UC, the European Union, and higher education institutions worldwide.
